Server Settings¶
The Server settings interface allows you to configure the basic settings of the web console. To access it, either click the Server Settings link or navigate to Control Panel → Server Settings.

Exclude agents from ICAP — Excludes agents from intercepting traffic on the ICAP server.
Recording a screenshots views to admin events — Logs events related to viewing screenshots in the admin log.
Policies running period (sec.) — Specifies the time interval during which events are being processed by configured policies. Lowering this value increases the server load.
User risk calculation parameters: Number of days — Defines the timeframe for considering user events when calculating the User Risk Level. You can set a value between 0 and 84 days, with a default of 14 days.
Update computer name if changed — Updates the PC name when you change it. Don’t use this parameter if you assign custom names via the web interface.
API key — Specifies the master server`s API key.
Master server — Indicates the server address used as the master server when syncing policies, configurations, and users.
Default e-mail to send notifications from filters — Defines the email address used for sending notifications related to filters and policies.
Maximum session time with user inactivity (min.) — Specifies the maximum period of user inactivity (in minutes) before the session is automatically logged off.
Minimum activity time to start workday (sec.) — Ignores events shorter than the specified time before the start of the workday. This prevents logging random events, such as accidental mouse movements.
User risk calculation parameters: maximum risk value per day — Defines the maximum number of risk points that can be considered in a single day. The range is 0 to 10,000, with a default value of 100.
Note
To enable this option, activate Risk Level.
Automatically assign a license to new agents — Allows you to disable the automatic assignment of licenses to newly added agents.
Server IP address to redirect (“none” to disable) — Specifies the IP address and port of the new server to which all agents should be redirected. Enter the port after the IP address, for example 10.10.11.22: 3333. The agents will be restarted and directed to the new server.
Adjust sound volume — Enables automatic equalization of audio volume for new recordings.
API access is enabled — Set this parameter to Yes if you want to allow API access to the master server for synchronization.
Update profile from AD every time — Syncs the user profile with the AD card and automatically downloads any changes from Active Directory. No additional AD configuration is needed, as the agent will send the data.
Automatically assign licenses to disabled AD users — Assigns licenses to users marked as disabled in Active Directory if enabled. Otherwise, revokes and prevents license assignment even if the user is reactivated.
Default agent config — Allows you to select a configuration for automatic assignment to new agents.
Default grouping — Displays the grouping for users by the specified value in the Assign Agents option in the computer configuration.
Default GUI dimension — Specifies the default dimension displayed in the web console interface and reports. Available options:
Computers
Username
Users, Full Name
Note
If you select the Users, Full Name option, the Constructor will default to Account. Also, the Time Tracking report will display Users, Full name.
Telegram: API key (token) — Use this parameter to enter the bot’s API key to send user notifications via Telegram.
Agents displays tray notification icon — When the module is enabled, the Staffcop icon will appear in the taskbar. An alert will appear when the configuration changes. You can configure the alert title and text in the computer configuration in section called Presence in the workplace.
Master Server API key — Use this parameter to enter the API key used by slave servers when the server is configured as a master server.
Dictionaries should search in title — Enables automatic keyword searches in window titles when the dictionary module is active.
Slave Server mode — Activates slave server mode. In this mode, the server copies the master server policies and collects events without re-configuring them.
E-mail to send system notifications — Specifies the email address used for sending system notifications.
Add report views to Last activity — This parameter allows you to see information about the construction of selected reports and database queries. To access this information, navigate to Admin → History of Actions.
Speech recognition — Converts recorded audio to text. Allows you to use speech recognition in the default agent configuration.
Aggregation enabled by default — Enables Event Types Statistics in the constructor. If disabled, all available event types will be shown by default, even if no data is available for them.
Time Format in Reports — Allows you to select the time format for creating reports.
Display empty values — Allows you to hide events with the type Value not specified in the Analysis menu.
Maximum number of facts in filter notification — Limits the number of facts displayed in filter report notifications when sent in PDF format.
Default language — Sets the default language for the web interface. This setting also affects the language used in system notifications.
Bandwidth limit for receiving data from agent (bytes/sec, 0 — unlimited) — Defines the maximum channel width for receiving data from the agent. To disable it, specify 0.
Bandwidth limit for online screen recording (bytes/sec, 0 — unlimited) — Sets the maximum channel width for recording online video. To disable it, specify 0.
Note
Both bandwidth parameters are applicable only when the new configuration assignment mechanism is enabled.
Full text search in dictionaries by default — Uses a full-text index instead of the LIKE operation for dictionary searches, which significantly increases speed. However, as dictionaries are designed for substring searches, this may result in false positives and missing highlights.
Application Dimension in reports — Defines the dimension displayed in a combined report. Options include:

Server domain or IP — Specifies the domain or IP address that used to access the web console. Update this parameter when when you change the server’s IP address or domain address. The value must match the current IP or domain name of the Staffcop server. This parameter also affects the server’s IP in notification links sent to system administrators.
The state of the Remember me checkbox on the login page — Defines whether the Remember Me checkbox is selected by default upon login into the system.
