Antivirus Exclusions

Attention

The Staffcop agent may be blocked by antivirus software during installation.

To avoid being blocked, add all agent system components to the antivirus exclusions before installation.

Even if the installation was successful, antivirus software may limit any configuration of the agent in functionality. For example, the agent won’t be able to:

  • capture email

  • record audio

  • open websites

To solve this problem:

  1. Configure specific exclusions for the antivirus used according to the instructions:

Note

The configuration process may differ depending on the antivirus version.

Note that, when configuring the antivirus, you must add mandatory general exclusions, presented in the following table:

  1. In addition, for correct agent traffic capture:

  • disable secure connection checking (HTTPS/SSL). If not disabled, the traffic will be encrypted and inaccessible to the agent;

  • limit port control to reduce the load on the system;

  • allow HTTP traffic, as data is often transmitted via this protocol.

If the Problem Persists

If the problem persists after completing the previous steps, try disabling agent network monitoring. This will allow you to see if the agent is affecting the system operation.

  1. In the Staffcop interface, open Control PanelComputer Configuration, then select the configuration used.

  2. Go to Network connections.

  1. Turn off Network monitoring and click Save.

Note

You may need to restart workstation applications to apply changes.
